Short Biography

Emerging from the Brazilian shores of Rio de Janeiro, Innocence Lost was born in 2007 from the friendship of 5 dedicated musicians, Mari Torres (vocals), Aloysio Ventura (keyboards), Heron Matias (drums), Rodrigo Tardin (bass) and Juan Carlos Britto (guitar), with the initial intent of creating serious and original Heavy/Prog Metal music.

In 2012, the band released their first EP, “Human Reason”.
After a brief hiatus in 2017, the band returned in 2020 with a renewed lineup featuring Ricardo Haquim (bass) and Gui DeLucchi (guitar) and released two singles: “Wake Up” and “Iris”.

The debut full-length album Oblivion is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2024, exploring the band’s powerful vocals along with intricated and epic instrumentation, creating a symphony of unexplored sounds and haunting melodies.

Recorded and produced by Thiago Bianchi at the prestigious Fusão Studios in São Paulo, Brazil, during the month of March 2023, the album also features the masterful orchestrations of Pablo Greg (renowned for his work with Edu Falaschi).

Album Concept

The album draws inspiration from the literary masterpieces "The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri and "Paradise Lost" by John Milton. It unfolds the narrative of a character referred to simply as "Sinner," who, disoriented and with fragmented memories, discovers himself stranded in the depths of a foreboding forest. Determined to unravel the mysteries surrounding his life and the whereabouts of his counterpart, "Hope," Sinner embarks on a journey through Hell. Along the way, he encounters diverse characters capable of either aiding or obstructing his quest, the outcome hinging solely on his choices.
